“ Stopped in for dinner with friends while we were in the area. This was probably one of the better Chinese Restaurants I’ve eaten at in a while. The staff was really friendly and the food was great. I would highly recommend. ”
“ Fantastic gem with quality made dishes, beautiful presentation and friendly staff. Lots to choose from on the menu. Class atmosphere, tho very dim inside with low lighting for lunch. I would have liked a brighter space for lunch. Quality decor, tastefully done. Be sure to stop in and enjoy! ”
“ AMAZING. The only word to describe this place. We went in on a whim driving past and ordered dinner for the entire family. Did not disappoint. Orange chicken, sesame chicken, Szechuan green beans, egg rolls, shrimp and pea pods, fried rice, and more. I would recommend it all, the egg rolls are large enough to be a meal in themselves. And the green beans are crunchy and delicious. If you're looking for good, authentic food, this is your place! ”
“ The best Chinese restaurant in the Western Suburbs. My family has been going here since the seventies and tonight was as good as ever. The best egg rolls and egg foo young I've ever had. The Lee family ate still running a wonderful restaurant. ”
“ Our family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Gen Hoe today!! The service was excellent and the food was perfect. Very relaxing atmosphere also. Highly recommend!!!! ”
“ House Special Cantonese Chow Mein (see pic) it's delicious! my husband has chicken fried rice, he said it wasn't special (is fried rice ever really?!) Got a sampler of apps: Egg roll is delicious perfect flavor, Beef sticks are good but not special, tender chicken is basically a chicken tender with a light batter, the crab roll (Rangoon) is more cream cheese than crab which I don't like. Overall, I recommend! Can't wait to try more! ”
“ Delicious food and a quaint, quiet atmosphere. My family has been going to this restaurant for over 40 years. It is a family favorite. The egg rolls and Grn Hoe Special fried rice are our favorites ”
“ Best food in the world. Yup.. been eating Mrs. Lee's shrimp and lobster sause with combination fried rice for 50 years. We grew up with her and the entire family cooking for us. Ate Chinese food all over the United States, and still Gen Hoe sets the standard for all. Yummy. ”
